Welcome to UNA Tunbridge Wells
Tunbridge Wells UNA is a part of UNA-UK’s London and Southeast Region (LASER).
Although we are a Tunbridge Wells Branch, we have members from Tonbridge, Paddock Wood and surrounding areas.
New members are very welcome. Please contact our Membership Secretary, Brian Beeley.
We discuss UNA-related matters at our meetings, including ways in which we can keep the UN flag flying in this area.
We also take opportunities to represent UNA at meetings involving other local groups.
Our biggest regular event is the Model United Nations General Assembly (MUNGA) held in the Town Hall in late November.
By raising public awareness of the principles of the UN Charter and the role of the UN in international affairs, we campaign for fuller implementation of the UN Charter in British policy decisions and attempt to educate government and a wide cross-section of the British public in understanding the principles and purposes of the UN.
